This is particularly important since Dalila was going to be the central figure of the storyline that would have begun with issue #7.John Rozumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03626209473214085436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13190497.post-71095228534064457382012-01-01T20:24:05.956-05:002012-01-01T20:24:05.956-05:00Hi, John-

Anyway...

After reading the original run, and noticing that Dalilah (Godot?) was constantly referred to but not shown until the end, and on top of that was not a part of the more recent series, I wondered exactly what sort of role she was meant to play as it progressed, besides the function of anchor keeping David connected to humanity. Was her name to be taken literally, and would she have somehow, like her Biblical namesake, cause David to become weaker or lose his abilities?

And since I am still clinging to the hope that Xombi will someday somehow return, will answering this be too much of a spoiler?

Thanks for your time and happy new year!Johnny Bacardihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07051009739174204952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13190497.post-57134167702513672392012-01-01T20:22:03.735-05:002012-01-01T20:22:03.735-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Johnny Bacardihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07051009739174204952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13190497.post-11791256388056026662011-12-08T08:20:52.198-05:002011-12-08T08:20:52.198-05:00I like to keep the Christ out of Christmas as much...I like to keep the Christ out of Christmas as much as possible and in Japan, it's easy to do. When I teach about Carols, I start off by sing Silent Night in Japanese and they all join in. I then teach them a bit of history, eg. Silent Night was originally written for guitar because the organ was broken.
Thanks for introducing me to "I've got my Love To Keep Me Warm." It reminds me of Foghorn Leghorn's punchline, "I've got my Bandages To Keep Me Warm."Michael Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01455879088769484151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13190497.post-57963532259623178562011-12-07T02:58:47.582-05:002011-12-07T02:58:47.582-05:00I'm glad you enjoyed Xombi. That's the project I've enjoyed working on the most --both incarnations and hope there will be more later.

Last month I was going to run a sort of annotated guide to the recent Xombi series -- a sort of look at the creative process but I'm going to run that here closer to the trade paperback release. So you have that to look forward to if you're interested in that sort of thing.

It's too early to announce, or even hint at anything that I have in the works. I do have a project that I am currently working on but am sworn to absolute secrecy about it. I can't even mention what industry it's for let alone what company or even type of project.

Believe me this is just as frustrating for the creators as it is for the fans. If we're excited about a project there's nothing we want to do more than tell everyone. Unfortunately, that's just not the way things are done any more.

When I can say something I will.

I can tell you that I'll be participating in a number of group shows at both locations of Gallery 1988 next year. It's not writing and I can say what the shows are themed around, but it's something I can say.John Rozumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03626209473214085436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13190497.post-46249516106417876512011-12-07T00:56:28.526-05:002011-12-07T00:56:28.526-05:00Hello Mr. Rozum!

I recognize that these days you can't come out and say anything until it has been announced per se, but vagueries like "I'm doing something for DC" or "I'm doing something for Marvel", and perhaps even "I'm doing something in the superhero genre" or "horror genre" etc. would be much appreciated!

I can't wait to see what is next!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13190497.post-86969242409785603492011-12-05T22:38:14.246-05:002011-12-05T22:38:14.246-05:00Even though I celebrate Christmas as a completely ...Even though I celebrate Christmas as a completely secular holiday, I've always loved "Silent Night." I'm also really partial to "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm" even though it's not really a Christmas song per se.John Rozumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03626209473214085436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13190497.post-47021232058343653322011-12-05T07:45:46.109-05:002011-12-05T07:45:46.109-05:00What's your favourite Christmas Carol?
