Beginning October 1st, I will be running my third annual Halloween countdown. This will be 31 days of Halloween tricks and treats, so be sure to mark your calendars and stop back here at Midnight on October 1st.
Costume required.
To any of the other folks running their own Halloween countdown this year, chime in and let me know. I'm compiling a list of participants and plan to post a list of links on the very first day. The last two years were great virtual Halloween block parties, and I can't wait to see what everyone else has planned for this year.
First MY(P)WHAE and now your site - two Halloween posts in one day! Excellent. Can't wait, John. You always have such great Halloween posts.
ReplyDeleteDeal me in on the countdown!
ReplyDeleteHey John! Loved your countdown last year!
ReplyDelete'Though I kinda have a Halloween Countdown going all year long, I ramp it up starting this month so please add me to the countdown club!

This will be the Random Acts of Geekery's 2nd year in the Halloween Countdown... I've already started a list there with links to the other blogs who've spoken up to me about participating this year (what can I say? I work way ahead on my blog!). Dave's already on the list, and I added allhallowsteve to it, too!

I will most likely be throwing down another month's worth of Halloweeny goodness. You've been warned. Can't wait to see what you've got this yeat John.
ReplyDeleteI'll give it a shot again this year. I don't know if I'll post something everyday, but I'll try.
ReplyDeleteI'm in for a third year - I've been planning and shooting Halloweeny pictures all year.
ReplyDeleteI am ready!
I've been adding everyone who's responded to your post to my Halloween Countdown 2008 blogroll at http://waffyjon.blogspot.com - I hope everyone else will at least post a list on their blogs of the other participating blogs!
ReplyDeleteAh, I love the blog Halloween countdowns!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait!!
Count me in for your Halloween countdown. I've recently started a Halloween-themed blog (recently as in 3 weeks ago)and so far, I've been posting (almost) daily. I figure I can keep that going through October . . . or die trying.

Will try to follow along on my blog this year....not sure how regularly I'll be able to come up with something different each day this time around, though. :-)
ReplyDeleteOctober is almost here! I hope you're better prepared for the countdown than I am.
ReplyDeleteHiya.. I probably won't post something every day of the countdown. Still, I'll likely share several things thru the month, at least, in the Halloween spirit-- so keep me in mind. I tend to focus on 'projects' at my blog-- audio files I have edited & tweaked myself, from various source material.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for chiming in. I'm going to have a list of all the confirmed links up just after Midnight October 1. Please feel free to lift it for your own sites.
ReplyDeleteI think we all learned a lesson about planning ahead last year. I think by the 3/4 mark a lot of us were burned out and just posting any old scan we could find just to have something up so we could walk away and feel caught up.
I've actually already preposted through October 16 (except for my daily movie viewings). This ended up being a necessity because my work load, which is usually moderate this time of year, has become a bit overwhelming, and if I didn't prepare posts as I could, I'd never make it past day 2 this year.
Having said that, I can completely empathize with anyone who doesn't think they're going to manage the daily posting schedule. I say don't worry about it. This is supposed to be fun, not a chore. Quality over quantity. You guys are the smart ones. Last November 1, I told myself I would not be doing this again this year. See what an idiot I am? I doubt I'm the only one who thought that then.
The nice thing about posting ahead, is it means I'll actually get to visit more countdowns on a daily basis, and even leave comments this year.
I'm looking forward to what everyone brings this year, and wish at the end of it we could all get together and celebrate.
See you October 1st!
Count me in on the Halloween madness. I've posted a lot of Halloween themed things in the past but this was going to be my first year doing a full countdown.
ReplyDeleteHowever, now I'm not sure I'll be able to post something every day even though I had planned ahead - I had two hard drives die on me in a row earlier, lost a ton of stuff and still haven't recovered. I'm totally going to be winging it day by day now.

I will be in on the countdown this year as well... the third year for my blog! I've been slaving away on my mix for the last month and finally got it done this morning! Here's how I work it... I post a different individual song for each weekday, complete with spooky effects, movie trailers, etc. and once you collect 'em all you put 'em back together and they make a continuous 1 hour and 26 minute mix of Jamaican (mostly ska and reggae) Halloween tunes. Check it out!
ReplyDeleteI'll be jumping into the mix this year as well...

...can't promise a post every day, but I'll do what I can.
I had no idea this was going on. I just happened to be doing my thing - which also happened to be doing sorta the same thing. I'm glad to join in (hoping I have enuf stuff).

Hey, John, meant to drop you a line earlier to say that I love the blog, and I too am joining in your Halloween celebration.
ReplyDeleteSeveral of the blogs in your giant list included me in their lists, but I never got a chance to properly tell you. I meant to toss you a note earlier this month, but forgot. I post at least once a week, sometimes more.
You can check me out at http://blog.paxholley.net. It's called the Cavalcade of Awesome.
Thanks for showing us all the great content.
