31 Days of Halloween - Day 10

Of all the toys I've seen this year that are based on classic horror films, this is my favorite. This is the Mattel "The Birds" Barbie doll, which features Barbie dressed as Tippi Hedron being attacked by three crows. I don't collect Barbie, but do want this. It's perfect, and because Alfred Hitchcock treated all of his actors, particularly his blonde leading ladies as mannequins, Barbie really captures the likeness and spirit of Tippi Hedren well.

Here's hoping we'll see a Janet Leigh "Psycho" Barbie in 2009.
