For those of you who missed my first episode of SUPER HERO SQUAD - "Night In the Sanctorum" it is being rebroadcast on Cartoon Network tomorrow morning at 8:30 EST, or you can watch it
here .
Be warned. It's aimed at boys ages 6-9 meaning that there are several scenes of belching.
That Punisher rant gag had me laughing John!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shawn.
ReplyDeleteThat was the first scene I wrote for that episode. The got Ray Stevenson (who played the Punisher in 'Punisher: War Zone') to voice the Punisher in the cartoon. He had a limited availability, so I had to get it done in time.
That scene was a favorite of the producers as well. It was actually a bit longer initially. The scene was meant to be somewhat like the boat scene in "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" with Gene Wilder creeping everyone out as they go into the tunnel.
It was fun to write.
The fact that it was Mr. Stevensen makes it doubly disturbing!
ReplyDeleteThis was the best episode so far. I caught it when it aired but I was so stuck in Halloween sleep deprivation mode I forgot to comment afterwards.
ReplyDeleteLoved that Punisher scene - always good to give a psycho a captive audience to creep out with a good rant ;)
And I feel the same way about brussels sprouts as the Punisher does!
The hulk constantly cracks me up, he's almost reason enough to watch the series all by himself.
The way anything to do with Dr. Strange scares Iron Man is delightful. And Dr. Strange seems suitably wacky in this series. Kinda gives me the impression he's taken to drinking absinthe ;)
It was awfully careless of him to leave Mordo trapped in a soda can casually lying around his fridge... Also gotta love those slippers.
Damn, Ms. Marvel sure is bitchy! I guess if you had to keep all those other idiots in line you'd have to be.
