Who's Reading Xombi?
Smart, Cool, Pretty women read Xombi as evidenced by the photo above (okay the photo only proves she's pretty, but I happen to know she's smart, cool, and has a wicked sense of humor too), and comments left in other posts, as do smart, handsome guys, discerning readers and writers such as Jeff Lemire whose excellent Vertigo comic Sweet Tooth is a series I recommend.
Who else?
In this Newsarama interview with Grant Morrison regarding his new book, Supergods: What Masked Vigilantes, Miraculous Mutants, and a Sun God from Smallville Can Teach Us About Being Human and comics in general, he singles out Xombi as one of the titles he's enjoying right now.
So impress a girl, a guy, or a writer and pick up a copy of Xombi today. Issue #5 will be available at a comic book retailer near you THIS Wednesday.
xOMbi is one of the best books out right now. I'm going to go on a letter rampage to DC and Warner to bring it back in the Dark Series of the DCnU! [one of those books are gonna fail anyway and make room for it if their gonna stick to 52. And if not it needs to come back anyway]
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'd like to keep going with it somehow and the character can't go on with out me. It's part of an agreement Dwayne McDuffie made with DC.
ReplyDeleteohhh . so it's not nothing to do with sales or nothing - because its an awesome read. Now it makes sense...too bad though. Well, Static Shock will just have to fill that void of that ROZUM-Quality.
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean I shouldn't be writing annoyed letters to DC? Because I was looking forward to it a little bit...
ReplyDeleteI would recommend polite, intelligently persuasive letters over letters of annoyance, but letting DC know how you feel about Xombi and how much you'd like to see more of it could help sway them into deciding to make more. Both Frazer Irving and I would love to be able to keep moving forward with the story of David Kim.
