Gift Suggestions

If you are looking for some holiday gift suggestions, I have a number of things available right now.

Bottleneck Gallery is having a sale on art. They still have a few pieces I did, which would be perfect for the movie/pop culture fan on your list. Art prices are 30% off through December 31st, 2013.

Gallery 1988 is also having a 30% off sale on most art through December 31, 2013. There are still a few of my pieces available here from Disney's The Black Hole and The Edgar Wright Show.

For some inexpensive art featuring animated cartoon characters both classic and modern, check out my own store by clicking the button to the right. Free shipping on all orders over $50.00 through January 31st, 2014. There are lots of Adventure Time characters at very affordable prices as well as characters from The Flintstones, Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera shows.

Be sure to check out my other store for all of the books and DVDs I've written, or contributed to. There are lots of graphic novels for both adults and kids, and plenty of kids superhero DVDs to look at. I think everything there is available for less than $20.00

Judd Apatow Tribute Show Tonight

"A Tribute to Judd Apatow" opens tonight at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. An RSVP to the gallery is required for attendance. I don't know if RSVPs are still being accepted, but contact the gallery if you are interested.

Judd Apatow will be in attendance as well as lots of great artwork. I have two cut paper collage pieces in the show, which can be seen above. "Freaks" and its companion piece "Geeks."

The show runs through December 30th, so even if you can't make the opening you still have a month's worth of opportunity to stop buy and take in the artwork.

What Time Is It?

Just for fun, I've been taking a spare hour here and there to create some cut paper collage portraits of various characters from Adventure Time. I really like the wide range of character types and the overall design aesthetic for the show, and the characters are something i can replicate pretty quickly and easier with a pair of scissors and some paper.

None of them have backgrounds yet, but they will and then will wind up on my online store where they will be available for purchase. These will be very cheap with the bulk of them in the $15.00 - $20.00 range, and only a few being slightly more expensive.

I'm not sure exactly when they'll be made available, but I'm hoping to do so before the end of October, so keep checking back. In the meantime, if there's a particular character you're interested in please let me know. I've made around 40 of them so far.

NBC To Bring Midnight, Mass. to TV

It's been officially announced, so now I can tell you as well. NBC has bought the rights to my comic book series, Midnight, Mass. which was published as two mini-series through DC's Vertigo line. This is the third time that this has happened and hopefully this time will be the charm that sees this come to fruition. I'm a bit more hopeful this time with the talent involved.

You can read more about it at Deadline.com .
