Forty years ago today, one of my favorite places in the world opened its creaking doors to the public for the first time. Happy Birthday to Disneyland's The Haunted Mansion.
I'd set this to post in advance, and something happened with the date and it didn't go up. I just noticed it wasn't there in vase you're wondering where this post just suddenly appeared from.
Haunted Mansion is my favorite attraction of all time in ANY theme park! I can't believe it turned 40! Hopefully it will stick around for another 40 without too much more "modernization" or tinkering.
Agreed with the fellow commenters, it's a truly amazing ride and every time I'm at either Disney park, I never want to leave my beloved mansion.
Yet for some reason, every time I've ever gone, it's different than how I remember it ( and no I don't mean the differences between land and world's mansions.
Such a warm fuzzy feeling it gives. Thanks for letting us know.
