Happy Birthday Ray Bradbury!

Today, one of our greatest living authors, Ray Bradbury, turns 87. Celebrate by reading some of Ray's great stories. It's also the perfect way to get ready for the upcoming Halloween season. I can't imagine the holiday without him.

Thank you for the toast to Bradbury. He was the first author writing for adults that I read as an adolescent; I found him fascinating.

Did you do the portrait, John? Very nice!

The portrait was done by longtime Bradbury illustrator, Joseph Mugnaini. It is indeed very nice, and I thank you for thinking me capable of such work, my friend.

You can see a lot more of his work in my Bradbury entry in the October 2006 archives.
