When I was a kid trick-or-treating for UNICEF went hand in hand with trick-or-treating for candy. Most kids I knew did the same thing. I can't tell you the last time I saw a kid doing this. I thought maybe the Halloween program no longer existed, but I was wrong. This year I'll be sending my own kids out with their orange cardboard UNICEF boxes.
UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, is a program that brings health care, clean water, nutrition and education to under priveleged children worldwide. To learn more about their Trick-or-Treat program go here.
