It's the first Monday of the month which means it is time for "Ask Me Anything", giving you the opportunity to find out anything you may have been curious about concerning my work, inspiration, last meal, last movie, summer reading list, or anything at all.
Questions can be posted in the comments section below, and I'll either answer them there, or in a separate post sometime later in the month.

Milestone 2.0 hasn't released/done anything in over a year, what's going on?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't tell you. I'm guessing though that the principals involved are devoting whatever time they have outside of their separate lucrative and demanding careers to focus on getting the live action Static off the ground before they worry about the comic book series. Also, given that DC has not been having a lot of success in maintaining the prosperity of their own properties, devoting time to publishing and promoting a group of books that they don't have much say in is not one of their own priorities.
ReplyDeleteEverybody involved knows I'm on board whenever they need me, and I'm looking forward to it as much as you are.
Hey John,
ReplyDeleteMy question is what is your opinion on DC's new Rebirth stuff? I dont know if you have read it but it seems to be getting a lot of praise. If you havent, what have you heard about it and what do you think of the reviews?
I haven't read it, or paid any attention to any announcements pertaining to Rebirth. At this point I'm not interested in investing myself in a new DCU. When they announced the New 52 I was excited because I'd hoped they'd start at ground zero and aim the books at younger readers. Instead they aimed them at the same exact middle-age readers they pissed off by ending the universe they'd all infested themselves in for years. Continuing to direct their output at an aging, shrinking audience, instead of the next generation of DC fan is a huge mistake if you ask me.
