Ask Me Anything #62








After nearly a year's absence, Ask Me Anything returns.

On first Monday of the month you can usually find a post like this one allowing you to hit me up on any topic and I'll do my best to answer it.  Ask me anything you want.

Questions can be posted in the comments section below, and I'll either answer them there, or in a separate post sometime later in the month.

Hi John, at the end of the Kobalt run he went off to train so that he would be able to compete with the superpowered badguys. What exactly was Kobalt going to learn?

Better combat skills, and remote disabling, I suppose. I actually wrote, I think, three issues beyond where the series ended, so this isn't really where things were meant to go. I decided to have Kobalt go off, and also to break Page's arms, because, story wise, these were good places to be able to come back from if there was ever going to be more Kobalt. Kobalt returns (probably with a new costume), Page's casts come off, begin phase 2.

Page was actually going to end up with broken arms much later, and when his sister gave him crap about it was going to retort with a "If you think you could do better, then be my guest" leading to his sister becoming (a more competent) Page for a while.
