31 Days of Halloween - Day 8 Movie 1

"The Invisible Man" (1933) is one of my favorite of the classic Universla horror films. Directed with a perfect dose of humor by James Whale, this movie moves along at a brisk pace. While a showcase for John Fulton's groundbreaking special effects, the effects were in service to the story and never the reverse, something that a lot of modern movies would be better off remembering.

Claude Rains gives a terrific performance as Jack Griffin, a scientist who turns himself invisible, and while trying to create an antidote slowly goes mad turning into a murdering sociopath.

This movie should not be missed.
